YASSMIN GONZÁLEZ VÉLEZ, ESQ. LLM.

Off Counsel

Ms. Gonzalez obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics (Magna Cum Laude) and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras campus. In 1998 Ms. González participated in an abroad study program/internship concentrating in International and Chinese Law from the Duquesne University School of Law and China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing, China. Ms. González is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the U.S. District Court for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.  

 

Ms. González has successfully served as lead counsel for several employers in government and private collective bargaining agreements, has advised large multi-national corporations in delicate employment matters, has contributed to the development of and has authored model employee manuals and work-place rules; is a frequent speaker on labor and employment issues and has substantial experience litigating before the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Commission, the Puerto Rico Department of Labor, and the Employment Relations Board.
