Ms. Román obtained a BA in Hispanic Studies from the University of Puerto Rico and a Juris Doctor, from Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, School of Law. She also obtained a Master degree in Health Law from Loyola University in Chicago, IL.

During the years as a student of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, Ms. Román had the opportunity to be a Legal Intern in the Department of the Consumer (DACO) and part of the Legal Assistance Clinic of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. Also as a student of the Institute of Health Law at Loyola University in Chicago, Ms. Román had the opportunity to be a Research Assistant at Center for Disability and Elder Law in the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

Ms. Román is an active member of the Puerto Rico State Bar.  

As a member of the firm, Ms. Román has concentrate her practice in Health Law, focusing in fraud and abuse,  Corporate compliance, providers contracts, and medical staff issues, among others.
