MAYRA V. ESTRELLA PÉREZ-VALDIVIESO, ESQ.
Mrs. Estrella obtained a BS in Psychology and Mental Health, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Puerto Rico. Also, she obtained her Juris Doctor degree, Suma Cum Laude, from Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, being the third in her class with the higher grade point average and being part of the National Dean Honor List since the beginning of her studies. As a student, Mrs. Estrella was a Judicial Officer in the Puerto Rico State Court and worked in Legal assistance Clinic.
During her Law School years, Mrs. Estrella was an active member and occupied the Vice-President of the Board of Pontifical University Law Review. On year 2006, the Pontifical University Law Review published one of her articles named “Las victimas de delito: sus derechos frente a los de sus victimarios en el proceso de justicia penal” 45 Rev. Der. P.R. 293. She was also a member of the Committee of Legal Conferences to the Community where she developed her lecture skills at different areas of law.
Mrs. Estrella is an active member of the Puerto Rico State Bar and Federal Bar where she exercises her main practice. As an experience litigator, Mrs Estrella has concentrated her practice in Civil Litigation; Medical Malpractice; General Liability; Torts; and Administrative Litigation for Ponce Cash and Carry, Triangle Dealers at the Departamento de Asuntos al Consumidor (DACO) among others. She has also represented Property and Casualty insurance companies in Torts cases like Real Legacy Assurance, Triple S, Integrand Assurance Co., Ace Insurance and Admiral Insurance.
For the past years, Mrs. Estrella has been part of Rovira Rodriguez Litigation Practice Group were she has developed her expertise in Medical Malpractice and Torts cases.
